Carrie creates richly layered contemporary artworks that reimagine familiar natural forms through unexpected photographic textures, expressive colour and composition. Each piece is constructed digitally in an intuitive yet highly considered process that invites closer looking and personal interpretation.

Creative Process

Each artwork begins with an overall composition, hand-drawn digitally before colour is introduced to establish its balance and mood. The forms are then layered with photographic textures drawn from an extensive library built over years, including Carrie’s own photography and imagery sourced from photographers around the world. Colours shift, textures are replaced and details refined as the work evolves, often in unexpected directions.

Textures are deliberately removed from their original context so they can be experienced in an entirely new way. Weathered stone, water, aerial landscapes and other overlooked surfaces may become part of a botanical form, valued less for what they originally depict than for their movement, light, colour or character. The final stage is one of cohesion, selectively blending and reworking each area until the textures feel unified while retaining enough of their original detail to reward closer looking.

A Lasting Expression

Carrie’s artworks are conceived specifically for print, rather than as reproductions of a physical original. This means scale, detail and finish are considered from the beginning as part of the artwork itself, allowing the final piece to retain its intended impact in its printed form.

That approach also reflects Carrie’s own experience of trying to find artwork for her home that felt distinctive and meaningful, without either investing in a one-off original or settling for something generic or secondary to an original work. Creating each piece to order allows collectors greater choice, with a range of sizes, materials and framing options available, as well as custom sizing where needed.

Crafted with care and intention, each piece is made to endure — visually, emotionally and materially. Through both its expressive depth and its physical quality, Carrie’s work offers a lasting presence in a space and continues to resonate long after it has been placed.

Printing

All artwork orders can be produced on either Canvas or Fine Art Paper. The main distinction lies in the framing: canvas can be displayed without glass, while fine art paper requires framing behind glass for protection. Both options achieve near-identical colour results and are printed with genuine UltraChrome pigment inks. These archival-grade materials are crafted to endure, preserving their brilliance and preventing fading over a lifetime.


Canvas

Prints are produced on a 395gsm canvas, a professional-grade poly-cotton material that is OBA-free (no Optical Brightening Agents). With its advanced water-resistant coating and subtle linen-like texture, this canvas is designed for true fine art reproduction, showcasing precise detail, vibrant colour, and lasting durability.


Fine Art Paper

Prints are crafted on a 310gsm archival matt fine art paper. With a smooth surface and gentle texture, this museum-grade paper provides vivid colours, excellent image sharpness, and a refined depth across the full tonal range. Its bright base enhances clarity without relying on optical brightening agents, offering a timeless and enduring finish.

Framing


Canvas Print Framing

All expertly stretched and framed canvas prints are delivered ready to hang. You may choose a premium floating frame, which creates the effect of the canvas “suspended” within its border for added depth and presence. Frame finishes include Tasmanian oak, with its natural wood grain, or black and white timber with a smooth matte finish. A stretched canvas without a frame is also available, offering a clean, contemporary look with exposed edges.


Fine Art Paper Print Framing

Paper prints may be framed in a premium shadow box frame, adding space between the artwork and glass for a refined, gallery-style finish. Standard glazing uses anti-reflective glass, while for orders more than an hour outside the CBDs of Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and Perth, high-quality perspex is substituted for safer handling and delivery. All paper prints include a generous white border, designed to enhance presentation once framed.


Rolled Prints

Both canvas and fine art paper prints are also available rolled. Each piece is carefully packaged in rigid, protective mailing tubes to ensure safe delivery. This option is often the most practical for international collectors, who may prefer to work with their trusted local framer. We recommend leaving the print in its packaging until it is ready to be professionally framed.
