A deeply personal collection, Outgrown reflects on the evolution of self through recognition, clarity and discernment. It considers the ways our experiences shape us as life takes unexpected turns, paths change and new possibilities emerge. There is a sense of holding on and letting go, of embracing discovery while recognising what no longer fits, and of choosing what we carry forward as we become more deeply ourselves. It explores instinct, vulnerability and self-trust, and the balance between protecting ourselves and remaining open to what might come next. Ultimately, it is about what we shed, what we carry, and what becomes possible when we trust ourselves enough to grow beyond what once contained us.
Floral forms appear beyond their pristine peak: expressive, imperfect and unapologetically alive. Self-drawn forms are layered with photographic textures gathered from varied and often unexpected natural origins. Like us, the works are built from complementary and contradictory elements, fragments of different origins gathered together and transformed into something new, somewhere between reality and invention.
